Following the propositions by Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) for pension schemes in which lecturers may lose up to 40% of pensions which translates to up to £10,000 in pensions. University and College Union (UCU) strikes have consequently begun where industrial action is due to carry on until March 16th.
